WORK
An AI app that helps caregivers of autistic children read emotional cues, built with a four-student team and inspired by my cousin. It started from a pattern we kept seeing while volunteering with families: caregivers misreading emotional signals. It now supports 700+ users across 25 therapy centers in 12 countries.

A 501(c)(3) nonprofit making AI education free and global: a 20-module curriculum, completion certificates, and scholarships for students in small towns. 15,000+ students, 5,200+ certificates issued, 50+ chapter locations across 16+ countries, and a 125+ intern team. These days most of my time goes into chapter standards, training, and handoff so it keeps running long after I graduate.
luminlearning.aiIn the Cha Lab, I build AI that models autism-related social communication differences from real parent and child interactions. The work spans 120+ hours of video, audio, and pose data from 40 families: a child-vs-adult detection module, synchrony scoring, and fusion models reaching AUC 0.80 for predicting anxiety risk in autism. It is the research version of the same question behind Kora: can a machine help you understand what someone is feeling? First-author work in prep for MIT URTC 2026.
Yale School of Medicine profileA low-cost pedestrian detection system that retrofits older cars: a Raspberry Pi and Coral TPU running a TensorFlow Lite model at 95% real-time detection accuracy. Piloted across 200 student vehicles in partnership with school administration and the Robbinsville Police Department, then iterated through two national competition cycles.
Third year writing software for one of FIRST's most competitive robotics teams: I built the team's first PnP pose estimation using fiducial IDs, its first object detection pipeline, and autonomous routines in Java and WPILib, while mentoring newer programmers. In 2024 we won the Curie Division at the FIRST World Championship and reached the Einstein semifinals.
Team profilePresident of Robbinsville FBLA and a two-year member of the NJ FBLA State Technology Committee, where I helped build the State Leadership Conference app and website used by 8,000+ members. Grew our chapter from 45 to 175+ members, took state qualifiers from 2 to 23, and started a middle school chapter with 70+ students.
